PAWS Quiz Night 22nd November 2017
We are delighted to announce that last night's PAWS quiz at Gustoso raised €1030 for our dogs. A good night was had by all and the music round was certainly light-hearted to say the least!
Many people were extra generous with donations of fabulous raffle prizes including a beautiful hamper. Winners of the quiz were a team called the 'St.TaTs' (below) beating the second placed team, 'Barney's Buddies' by just one point. Both teams received bottles of wine, kindly donated by Shampooch who sponsor the event.
Thanks to everyone who came to support and also to Gustoso staff and management. We look forward to the next quiz on 24th January, 2018.
PAWS Dog Shelter
What was in the wine? This is the 2017 PAWS Christmas Party at Alexander the Great Hotel in Paphos. Obviously a great time was had by all? Apart from the over indulgers above who we don't really talk about, the rest of us had a great evening. Many thanks to all our regular supporters who attended and helped to raise €1000 on the evening for the dog shelter. This was a double celebration as we we were also celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the new dog shelter in Achelia. The cake in the photos was commissioned by Matt and presented to Tracy, one of the PAWS volunteers who won it in the entance ticket raffle. As you may expect Tracy donated the cake to the shelter for the volunteers!
Well done to the main organisers, Sue & Jen, who did a great job, so much so it's rumoured they will be doing it all again next year! Many thanks to those individuals, local businesses and organisations who donated the terrific raffle prizes. A special mention to Steve Welsh who, in his own inimitable style, kept us royally entertained all evening. We must also mention the staff at the Alexander the Great who provided great service on the night!
€1008.50 was raised last night at our first quiz night of 2018! Many thanks to all who came to support on such a wet evening and to the many individuals who so generouslyir donated raffle prizes. As always we had excellent food and service from the management and staff of Gustoso Restaurant. Regular attenders Team 'June R' won the quiz for the first time and the second placed team were 'The Big Shrugs'. Both teams received wine donated by the event sponsor, Shampooch.
It was a full house for a great evening at Riley's. Thank you to Louise Vreony for providing good music to listen to and dance to. Also, many thanks to the staff at Riley’s who did a fantastic job preparing and serving so many meals in such a short time. The evening raised €634 for PAWS. A big thank you to everyone.
