Bob was found wandering on a main road in one of the local villages in Paphos. He is likely a hunting dog that was abandoned at the end of the season because he was deemed not good enough for hunting. While he walks fairly well on a lead, being a scent hound, he tends to pull in the direction of any interesting smells he encounters.
Despite the sad expression on his face, Bob seems to enjoy being around people. Although we will never know what his life was like before coming to PAWS, his somewhat submissive behaviour suggests that it may not have been good. In his pen, he is lively and happy to greet you at the door, but once outside, he becomes more subdued and unsure. Compassion and consistency will be key to his development.
If you would like more information, send us a private message on Facebook (including your email address) or email us at colleenatpaws@outlook.com. Better yet, if you can, come to PAWS and meet him!
Every dog in our care is fully vaccinated, health-checked, spayed/neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. We offer ongoing support after adoption, including rescue backup if needed, and our thorough home check process ensures the perfect match for both you and your new furry friend.
Don’t live in Cyprus? Don’t worry! There are no restrictions on dogs flying from Cyprus to the UK or other European countries – travel costs will apply.
