At 5 years old Cosmo was found suffering with a broken pelvis. Following surgery he was able to spend the time it took to heal in a lovely foster home. Once recovered, he joined us at the shelter. He made a very good recovery and you can hardly tell that he was ever injured. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would be happy to be adopted into a home that has another dog to keep him company.
He is active but not over the top. As per his breed, he has a fairly strong hunting instinct and, of course, he still needs some training. Cosmo is a great dog.
Cosmo has low grade Leishmaniasis. This is a lifelong disease transmitted by a certain type of sandfly. The Leishmania is kept under control by daily medication and a proper diet. We can tell you more about Leish if you are interested in Cosmo.
COSMO is now looking for a loving forever family. Could that be you? If you would like to adopt him or would like more information about him, then please send PAWS a private Facebook message, email colleenatpaws@outlook.com or come to the shelter to meet him.
