Fern
Description
M/F: Female
DoB: January 2024
Adult size: Medium
Admitted to PAWS: January 2024
Fern and her 10 (yes, TEN) siblings - only 3 girls in the litter - were born to a stray mum. They were spotted by a local resident who kept watch over them and fed mum (also at PAWS and now called Felicity) so that she was strong enough to care for her brood. As soon as we had space, they were brought to the shelter.
Felicity was a good mother and looked after all her pups very well until the time came that they were just too much for her to handle, so they were separated from her. Now, trying to get in and out of a pen with 11 little bodies all trying to get out with you is no mean feat so, to make life for our helpers just a little bit easier, they have bee separated in to a 6 and a 5. Still not easy... just easier.
The puppies are all adorable and just so full of energy and mischief. They are all very happy to be around people and enjoy a cuddle - but not for too long because they might miss some action with their siblings on the ground! Once separated, they will be different again, we think - still playful but much calmer
They are now ready for the next stage of their lives - a home and family.
If the pups take after mum, they will be medium size with lovely personalities (but of course, we have no idea what daddy was like so the personality may be peppered with something else).
