Jacko was a stray who, thankfully, found his way to the home of an animal-loving lady who fed and cared for him until a place became available at PAWS. We discovered that Jacko had a microchip, which was registered!!! For a while our hearts lifted because we could reunite Jacko and his owner. That didn't last long because the owner could no longer be bothered with him! So, he stayed with us.
He has been with us for quite a while now and has become a friendly, energetic dog. Jacko loves to be with people and wants attention and loves from everyone. He makes this known by barking to get our attention as we pass his pen. Once you acknowledge his presence and have a chat with him, he is quite happy.

It is likely that Jacko is an ex-hunting dog and has never lived in a house, so he will have to learn the do's and don'ts, but with the right people he will become a great companion.
