Jude is pretty close to being the perfect German Shepherd dog. He has equal parts of intelligence, loyalty, and strength, making him the perfect addition to a family that likes big dogs. He has a fantastic, gentle and affectionate nature and just loves people. He loves everyone and thinks everyone likes him, and so he doesn’t always believe in personal space. A firm ‘No’ usually does the trick though.

Be aware, GSDs thrive on mental stimulation and physical activity, making regular exercise essential for keeping them healthy and happy (and why they often don’t do well in the confines of a shelter). Known for their keen intelligence, GSDs are quick learners and highly trainable. Jude really is a lovely dog who will benefit from having a person of his own who is willing to do some positive reinforcement training with him.  The right people will be rewarded with a fantastic family companion that offers love, loyalty, and protection.

One thing he loves beyond his food is to be brushed. He will stand forever for you to brush his luxuriously thick coat.

All our dogs are fully vaccinated, health-checked, spayed/neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Our team at PAWS do everything possible to ensure a smooth transition from shelter to home. We provide ongoing support post-adoption (including rescue backup should it be needed), and our home check process is designed to create the perfect match for both you and your new family member.
