Judy was yet another dog found on the busy approach road to the airport. Any dog on this road stands every chance of being hit by a car, especially since many of them are being driven far too fast. She was so disoriented when found that in all likelihood she had been dumped there. Thankfully, she was rescued by one of our volunteers and came to PAWS when there was room for her.
She settled in with us immediately and proved to be a very playful and affectionate girl. She gives the impression that her life to date wasn't so bad and that she may even have been taught a few things, e.g. basic obedience commands. She is a lovely looking girl who, as well as being loving, can be very boisterous. Her joy at having someone pay her attention overcomes her and she gets a little overexcited. This will calm down over time when she has a family of her own who can spend more time with her than we can, because that is what she needs - a little more one-to-one attention and someone to play with her and walk with her every day.
Ideally, her people will know something about the Malinois breed because they are not the easiest of dogs. They are not lazy bones who like to lie around all day, they are active and intelligent dogs who like to be occupied in some way - e.g. puzzle games, finding things.
