Kili was found in the shelter car park with two other dogs. Whether they found their own way there, following the barking of the dogs, or were dumped, we will never know.
Kili is a handsome dog who has so far shown himself to be without fear. He is a very friendly and energetic dog who enjoys human company - to the point where he sometimes clings on to stop you leaving his pen. He has a great personality and seems to get along well with other dogs. He was already in relatively good condition when he arrived at PAWS, suggesting that he hadn't been roaming for any length of time, and he continues to go from strength to strength.
Our guess is that Kili was possibly kept as a hunting dog and either got separated from the pack and left behind on hunting day or lost his enthusiasm for hunting and so was dumped. If he was a hunter's dog, he will never have lived in a home (or even been inside a house), and so will have a lot to learn. With consistent training, all these things should come to him fairly quickly.
One of the volunteers caring for him says 'He is such a handsome boy! He’s a solid dog and strong, but also loves attention and is very affectionate once he’s calmed down a bit. Would make a great pet for someone who is a bit more experienced.'
