Olivia was found as a stray in a local village; she is more than likely a lost or abandoned hunting hound. She was in season when found so it was imperative to get her into the safety of the shelter as soon as possible. Thankfully, the inevitable hadn't occurred while she was out on her own!
She is absolutely stunning to look at. Her facial and ear markings are perfectly symmetrical - something we rarely see; and just look at her ears!!!
We can only assume that she was not well-cared for by her hunter-owner, and was likely abused because she is taking a while to get used to the fact that we are not going to hurt her. She has, at least stopped shaking like a leaf when we touch her but she is still tense and waiting to flee should she feel it is necessary. Once she overcomes her fears she will most likely develop the temperament and character of her breed - Litse Hound. She will be active, very mobile, affectionate and very social.
If you would like to adopt shy OLIVIA, and help her come out of her shell, then please send us a private message, email colleenatpaws@outlook.com or come to the shelter to meet her.
All our dogs come fully vaccinated, health checked, and microchipped with rescue back up from PAWS. PLEASE NOTE: A homecheck will apply.
