Oscar

Meet Oscar, a very handsome young crossbreed. When he first arrived at PAWS, he was a tiny, scared puppy; but with patience and dedication, Oscar has made incredible strides in overcoming his fears. Unfortunately, the shelter environment does not agree with him and he is literally bouncing off the walls in his need for more attention.

Today that puppy has outgrown all expectations and is a big dog. He is OK with other dogs, but his size means that he needs supervision until he is used to his playmate. It can take him quite some time to develop enough trust in someone for him to be comfortable in their presence. Once there he is a much calmer and affectionate boy.

As with many of our dogs, we can’t pinpoint his exact breed, but there are definitely some Doberman traits in his striking looks. He’s looking for a loving home with experienced dog owners who understand the needs of larger breeds and can devote time to helping him continue to develop into a loyal and loving friend.
