Meet Sam, a lovely Labrador X who was found near a local dam by a kind lady who fed him daily for over a week until she was able to get him to follow her home and into her garden. Much as she grew to love Sam, she knew that it wouldn’t be fair or feasible to keep a puppy due to his probable adult size (he weighed 17kg at 6 months old) and strength and her own mobility problems and age, and so he came to PAWS.
At just 6 months old, he weighed 17 kg and is now a little over 19 kg. While he may not be the biggest dog, his tall, gangly frame add to his handsome looks.
Sam is a sweet-natured but very energetic boy who needs more attention than we can offer him at the shelter. He loves people and will make a loyal companion. His playful spirit and eagerness make him a good candidate for anyone looking to train and grow alongside a companion dog.
