Sam is a Labrador X and was found by a lady near a local dam. She fed him daily for over a week until she was able to get him to follow her home and into her garden. Much as she grew to love Sam, she knew that it wouldn't be fair or feasible to keep a puppy due to his probable adult size (he weighed 17kg at 6 months old) and strength and her own mobility problems and age and so she asked someone to transport him to the shelter when we had space.

Sam is a lovely gentle boy who shows some timidness with people but loves it if you will pet hm and tickle his tum. As time goes on and he becomes more used to the shelter and to different people, we are sure that his reticence will fall away and his delight in attention will grow. Like all Labs, he will make a delightful constant and loyal partner.
