Spot was found with another dog and, after spending a little time in a foster home where he proved himself to be very well-behaved, brought to the shelter He is a lovely dog - sweet, gentle, & playful. He will probably make a great family dog.

Because his coat was in such poor condition and he showed signs of Leishmaniasis, we had a blood test done straight away. The results were inconclusive, and we are currently awaiting results of a further test. In the meantime, he is being given the recommended medication and food and already he looks healthy, his coat is shiny and he's gained a lot of weight.  Leishmania is nothing to be afraid of and, though a lifelong disease, can be controlled with daily medication. We are quite happy to chat about Leishmania with you and tell you all you need to know.

Spot needs his own family who will love and care for him, teach him what he needs to know, take him for walks, cuddle and play with him.
