Sushi was left tied to the shelter gate overnight. Poor guy had obviously known no love and had basically been neglected. He was only 16 months old but, because of his terrible condition, looked much older.
Fast forward a few months and Sushi turned into a really handsome boy. As with many of the Shepherd/Malinois breed, Sushi is showing some signs of being stressed at the shelter. It may well be that he is bored - something that this breed hates to be. He needs more stimulation and one to one attention than we are able to give him. He is very spirited and has a good character but he needs people who will help him use up some of his energy by long walks or runs on the beach.
He is intelligent and should learn quickly if he teams up with someone who is calm and consistent in their handling of him. His behaviour towards people and other dogs is very dependent upon the person with him. If he senses fear or weakness, he will play up - nothing nasty; he just likes to see how far he can push, quite probably because he was always left to his own devices in his formative months.
