Wolverine
Description
DoB: April 2024
M/F: Male
Admitted to PAWS: July 2024
At just 10 weeks old, Wolverine was abandoned at the shelter gate one night. He was not at all happy in his new surroundings and did not settle well with us until 10 days later, when another puppy was brought in. This new puppy looked very much like Wolverine, was the same breed and the same age. Wolverine’s brother? We’ll never know but we decided to treat them as such and put them in together. What a change! They both had a friend to play with and get up to mischief with. They were both happy!
His brother has been adopted, and now it is Wolverine’s turn. He has grown into a handsome dog with a great enthusiasm for people. He loves having people go into his pen and give him some one-to-one attention. You can see from his photos just what a happy boy he is – and now he needs a home of his own.
As per his breed, Wolverine is a big, strong dog with something of a stubborn streak. He has bags of self-confidence, which can sometimes spill over. The sooner he gets into a home with a family of his own the better because he needs to start learning some manners. He will need training and consistent handling to control his exuberance without squashing it altogether. Given time, some training and lots of patience he will make a fantastic family dog.
Wolverine is a blank page ready for his life story to be written. Could you be the person to write that story with him? If you think you are, please email colleenatpaws@outlook.com for more information, or send PAWS a private Facebook message (please include your email address in the message), or come to the shelter to meet him.
