Ziggy came to PAWS after the shelter he was in was destroyed by fire. He wasn't at all sure of us at first and, in defensive mode, he barked at everyone who passed by his pen. It was quite a while before he settled down and decided that PAWS wasn't a bad place to be after all and that we weren't going to do anything bad to him. Nowadays he is quite pleased to see people - OK, perhaps a little defensive with new people but he soon mellows.
He is a very active dog and just loves being free to race around and let off steam. He gets on with other dogs and enjoys it when they join in his fun. All he wants now is a family and home of his own. He needs people who will be able to spend time with him and help him to develop. He is no couch potato, so walks are a must. He has the makings of a fantastic companion, he just needs training so that he can understand what it takes to live with people and what is expected of him.
