PAWS SANTA DASH AND SANTA STROLL
Sunday 4th December 2022 – first stroll 9am [The dog walker version]
Santa Dash will begin at 9.45, and you can dash, run, race, stroll, saunter our course from the shelter to the gate and back. All we ask is you enter into the Super Santa Christmas spirit and wear your Santa Suit
registration /donation is 5e and this includes your finisher certificate, mulled wine and a mince pie.
Relay – teams of 3 with a 10e registration and our kids dash will follow the main run.
Club runners… want a morning sprint in a team of 4? take advantage of the early bird team of 4 10E donation option
Onliners – run your lounge, your back garden, the sofa hurdles, the park run or just take a dog walk, send us a photo of you and your mates, and a little donation for the Santa Wall of Fame, and we will send you your Paws certificate, and wag of thanks.

We would love you to stroll along, but if you prefer to visit the dogs, and just come for a Christmas cheer [on your friends who are crazy enough to run in a santa suit…] thats just fine, our tea team will be on duty from 9.30.
Event FAQs
This is a flat well surfaced private road.... The shelter gate to the entrance is a 3k round run, and we will run from the shelter to the entrance and back. The strollers / saunterers will walk the same course The 9am starters will be able to walk / stroll or trot with a dog... we don't walk after 9am normally , so the dogs and Santa's have their Christmas wish granted for one day only, a walk with a dog ..... if you bring your own dog to walk or run with - please do this in the main event so we don't risk you or your dog ... the paws dogs are shelter dogs, many are scared, poor walkers or just not used to new people, so your dog is better to run with you at a later start time...
Relay Race - Team of three - three legs, gate to shelter, shelter to gate, gate to shelter ...... Perfect for the Santa sprinters, or short course runners, those of you couching to 5k or anyone who just wants to run as a team, and maybe get yourself sponsored. The team event — perfect for the office worker challenge, or club team who want to run together, no requirement to get sponsorship, and the 4 of you have a reduced entry — think a Santa park run

Every dog in the shelter is assessed and many require special diets and food. Each dog is vaccinated, neutered and chipped once they are admitted to the shelter, the fee is reflected in an adoption, but the shelter meets the costs for all of the treatment, so fleas, ticks, worming, grooming, feeding, and any medical costs on arrival and during their time with us. We are a no kill shelter, so we offer the best care and treatment for all of our dogs. We survive on the funds and donations raised at events, so every penny counts.
the Santa Dash - run , jog, sprint, or dash ... The Santa stroll - the gentle version a walk through of the course, at your own pace. For those of you in stylish Santa suits, the stroll can be a saunter ... All we ask is you wear a Santa suit, or similar festive garb, we don't mind elves, Rudolph's, fairies, or snowmen or the odd snow-dog... if you get my drift
