Twenty two years ago we arrived in Cyprus with our two dogs. At a casual meeting we were chatting to a couple of PAWS volunteers. My husband was very keen, I was extremely apprehensive.
Armed with my book we went along on the Sunday morning. On arrival at the shelter, I took one look at the dogs who were all running around so happy and content, that was it, I was hooked.
Over the years I have done a variety of jobs for the shelter, all very rewarding. Also as the years went on, at times I have drawn back from helping as much as I did. But the dogs draw you back it so rewarding and fulfilling to be part of the PAWS family. You are rewarded with happy doggy cuddles and wagging tails. To this day I am still at the shelter. Come along and give it a try. If in doubt join us at one of the coffee mornings, chat to the volunteers and meet the dogs. You won’t regret it.
