Now here we have loopy Lupo. Don't be fooled by that disinterested, 'I'm bored with this' look on his face.
He appeared one night in our car park just as staff were getting ready to leave for the airport. As you might imagine, catching him in the dark was not easy but they were, in the end, successful.
Once in the shelter he was, at first, petrified and cowered as far away from us as he could manage. However, it didn't take long for him to come put of his shell and show us his energetic, funny, 'loopy' side. Now that he knows we mean no harm, he is a totally different dog. But he finds shelter life a little stressful and is never still when anyone is around. Ideally he needs to be in a home where he has companionship for much of the time and a garden to be able to chase around and let off steam.
He is good with other dogs and perhaps a slightly calmer, confident dog already in the household would be good for him.
Lupo was probably kept as a hunting dog and knows little of home comforts... but would soon get used to them! He will also need to be shown what is acceptable behaviour in a house.
