Adira
Description
Name: Adira
M/F: Female
DoB: May 2022
Adult size: Small (but sturdy)
Admitted to PAWS: May 2026
Adira was found tied to the shelter gates. Unfortunately, she has not been cared for as she deserves. She is scarred, emaciated, and may have been used for breeding and/or dog fighting (not that such a thing takes place in Cyprus, of course!!).
We cannot say for certain what kind of life she has had so far, but it has not dampened her spirit. She still shows affection towards people and quickly settled into shelter life. She likes to pass the time of day with the two tiny dogs in the pen next to hers.
We describe her as small due to her short legs. However, she possesses the strength typical of her breed. Even while emaciated, her body remains muscular, and like many bull breeds, she does not seem to realise her own strength.
Adira is a quiet girl who rarely barks. She prefers to spend her time wandering around her pen, sleeping, or waiting by the pen door for someone to give her attention.
With the right environment and people, Adira will flourish and become much-loved member of her new family.
All our dogs are fully vaccinated, health-checked, spayed/neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Our team at PAWS do everything possible to ensure a smooth transition from shelter to home. We provide ongoing support post-adoption (including rescue backup should it be needed), and our home check process is designed to create the perfect match for both you and your new family member.
Don’t live in Cyprus? Don’t worry! There are no restrictions on dogs flying from Cyprus to the UK or other European countries – travel costs will apply.
