Cosmo has not had the best life so far. He was found suffering with a broken pelvis and was able to spend the time it took to heal in a lovely foster home. Once recovered, he joined us at the shelter. He has made a very good recovery and you can hardly tell that he was ever injured. He enjoyed playing with the other dogs in the foster home and would be happy to be adopted into a home that has another dog to keep him company.
He is active but not over the top. As per his breed, he has a fairly strong hunting instinct but that doesn't and of course still needs a lot of training. Cosmo is a really great dog and even if he should have this handicap, we would be very happy if there are people who fall in love with him.
Cosmo has tested positive for Leishmaniasis. This is a lifelong disease transmitted by a certain type of sandfly. The Leishmania is kept under control by daily medication and a proper diet. We can tell you more about Leish if you are interested in Cosmo.
