Meet Costello, a resilient and lovable dog who, alongside his brother Abbott, was rescued from a life of abandonment. Discovered by a kind lady who frequently encounters abandoned dogs in her neighbourhood, these two were in dire need of help - emaciated, dehydrated, and terrified of human interaction. Yet, thanks to her kindness and determination, they began to trust her.  Gradually, they began to follow her at a distance, motivated by the food she provided. One day, after eating, they surprised her by lying down merely a few metres away. It is likely that these dogs were abandoned by hunters who replaced them with younger and faster animals. Knowing we had helped her before, she sought our assistance again.

Now in PAWS, with each passing day, Costello will transform from a fearful stray into an affectionate companion. In the shelter environment, he's learning the joys of human company and the comfort of being safe. Already, Abbott and Costello thrive on the companionship of other dogs, and soon of humans as well.

All our dogs are fully vaccinated, health checked, spayed/neutered, and microchipped and ready to become part of your family! Our team at PAWS is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition from shelter to home. We provide ongoing support post-adoption, and our home check process is designed to create the perfect match for both you and your new family member.
