Malinois in general do not do well in shelters.
Reuben is very stressed in the shelter and needs to get out into a home sooner rather than later. He is super skinny (despite two feeds a day) because he is on the go constantly. Back and forth in his pen, looking to see what is going on beyond its limits.

He is smart, confident, and affectionate. He enjoys attention and needs more than we are able to give him at PAWS. The Malinois breed thrives on activity and company. Once up to his optimum weight, Reuben will be a strong, well-muscled, elegant dog.
He is no couch potato and needs an active family who will be able to give him the exercise he needs and make him part of the family activities.
Whoever had Reuben before he came to the shelter had started to train him because he already comes when called and sits on command. His new owner can easily build on these foundations to develop Reuben into the perfect dog.
Forging a bond with his new family, he will become a loyal and affectionate companion.

All our dogs come fully vaccinated, health checked, spayed/neutered if old enough and microchipped with rescue back up from PAWS. PLEASE NOTE: A homecheck will apply to all potential adopters.
