Spotty has had quite an eventful life! He was originally found by a lady as she was driving back from Paphos airport one evening. She saw him down a side road, tied to a post with a length of plastic rope. Thankfully, she was able to call for assistance, and the dog was taken to a shelter. The lady described Spotty as a loving dog who instinctively trusted her, as she struggled to untie the tightly knotted rope from around his throat.
At that time, he was only about a year old, still very much in puppyhood. Naturally, he had plenty of energy and loved playing with the other dogs and his toys.
Fast forward 12 months, and disaster struck at the shelter and Spotty somehow ended up as a stray. He began hanging around the kennels of a Cypriot man, likely seeking the companionship of his dogs but also because there was a food source - the man's rabbits!
After several months of being on the streets, the man finally caught Spotty and took him to the vet, where they discovered a microchip registered to a local shelter. The man contacted the shelter to come and collect Spotty.
Fast forward another 16 months, and Spotty is now with PAWS. Although he is older, he remains a loving boy with a lot of energy.
If you would like to learn more about Spotty or the adoption process at PAWS, please send us a private message on Facebook (be sure to include your email address), email us at colleenatpaws@outlook.com, or visit the shelter to meet this wonderful dog.
All our dogs are fully vaccinated, have health checks, and are spayed/neutered (if old enough) and microchipped. We also provide continued support through PAWS after adoption. A home check is part of our adoption process to ensure a perfect match.
