Felicity

Description

Name: FELICITY
DoB: August 2022
Gender: Female
Breed: Hound
Admitted: January 2024

Felicity was living as a stray. Although only 17 months old she had given birth to a litter of ELEVEN puppies in a field! A lady who saw them put them underneath a pallet and gave mum food so that she had the strength to feed and care for her brood. Mum was not easy to catch because she ran away whenever people were near. However, one day she was caught and brought to PAWS with her puppies.

She was a very good mother who took good care of the pups and was obviously concerned every time we had to do anything with them. She would watch from a safe distance to make sure all was well.  The time came though that they were just too much for her to handle, so they were separated from her.  Now it is her time to enjoy life as a young dog should without having to worry about finding her next meal, without watching out for anything that might cause harm, without having to care for 11 puppies.

Felicity is coming out of her shell and learning to trust people. She is a very sweet girl who, until now, has probably never known love or a gentle hand.

Might you be the caring, understanding people that she needs and who can continue the work we have started to show Felicity that life can be good and  make the sadness in her eyes disappear?  If you think you are then please email colleenatpaws@outlook.com for more information about Felicity or adoption in general , or send PAWS a private Facebook message (please include your email address in the message), or come to the shelter to meet FELICITY.

All our dogs come fully vaccinated, health checked, and microchipped with rescue back up from PAWS. PLEASE NOTE: A homecheck will apply to all potential adopters.
Don’t live in Cyprus? Don’t worry. There are no restrictions on dogs flying from Cyprus to UK or other European countries. Travel costs will apply.
