Tramp
Description
Name: TRAMP
Gender: Male
DoB: Sept 2018
Adult size: Medium
Admitted to PAWS: Sept 2020
Tramp is a great dog - a bit of a scruffy looking wiry haired Terrier. His life so far has not been a good one. He was found tied to a tree in the middle of a field with only dry bread crusts to eat. He hadn't been abandoned; this is how his owner saw fit to keep him.
When he first came to PAWS in Sept 2020, he had no trust in people at all - and who can blame him. He was so afraid that he would be snappy if we tried to touch him. It took surprisingly little time for him to learn that we meant no harm and he has turned into a happy, friendly dog who loves a good cuddle and will chase after a ball. His greatest delight is t be with people - something that we cannot give him enough of at PAWS.
Tramp has tested positive for Leishmania - but please don't reject him just for that. Leishmania is a lifelong disease, transmitted by a certain type of sandfly, and kept pretty well under control by daily medication and a proper diet. We would be happy to chat with you and give you all the information you need about Leishmania.
If you would like to give TRAMP the chance he needs or would like more information then please send PAWS a private Facebook message (please include your email address), call us on (+357) 99683775, email colleenatpaws@outlook.com, or come to the shelter to see him.
