Sookie and her 3 siblings were found by tourists. They were camping by one of the dams when one day a dog (now in PAWS and called Syntia) appeared with 4 puppies. The tourists fed her for a few days but were in a dilemma when it was time for them to leave. Of course they didn't want to leave them to their fate but couldn't take them home. They found a solution by way of a friend who offered to foster them until a space was available at the shelter. 

Sookie's mother, Syntia, is a small-medium-sized, incredibly sweet, submissive, and gentle mixed breed. Unfortunately we have no idea who fathered the puppies and so we can't say how big Sookie will be when fully grown; but based on Syntia's size and Sookie's looks, we assume that it will be medium to large. All four puppies are already very well socialized and have lovely characters.
