Sheila
Description
Name: Sheila
M/F: Female
DoB: February 2018
Adult size: Large
Admitted to PAWS: Feb 2021
My name is Sheila and I am looking for a loving and patient forever home where I can grow my confidence and build trust with my new family.
I have a gentle nature and have adjusted fairly well to shelter life – but it’s not ideal. I really need experienced dog owners who will understand the needs of a nervous dog and have the patience to work with me. My ideal home would have a secure garden where I can feel safe and explore.
I suppose you could describe me as ‘nervous but willing’. The longer I spend with someone the braver I become. I may be shy, but I would be eager to learn.
I share a pen with Maverick and we get on very well together. I think I would be OK with other dogs as well.
Whilst I am not a spring chicken, I am in good health and ready to become part of a family.
In short, my ideal home is somewhere with a secure garden and patient people who understand that trust takes time. I have been in PAWS for most of my life (5 years and counting!) so I don’t actually remember much about life before I came here. I may have lived in a home and had some training, but who knows?! I guess when you adopt me, we’ll have to assume that I know nothing.
I would really love to become a much-loved member of a caring family, where I can experience love and patience.
Thank you for considering me as your future companion!
