Angela
Description
Name: ANGELA
M/F: Female
DoB: November 2017
Adult size: Medium
Admitted to PAWS: November 2021
Angela was living in terrible conditions in a junk yard with her litter of puppies and several other dogs. The yard was about to be closed down so Angela, her puppies and the other dogs came to the shelter.
Angela was a great mum with a strong maternal and protective instinct. She guarded her puppies fiercely and you had to gain her trust before she would let you near them - and believe me, she left you in no doubt if you weren't one of the chosen few.
She is a very intelligent and active dog who is quite capable and willing to learn. We think she is Belgian Malinois X and as such is no couch potato and will need to be kept occupied. She is extremely high energy and is constantly on the move in the shelter, which could be a mixture of her nature and stress at being cooped up. She is only still when she has someone with her because she loves company and attention.
She is very sweet and extremely affectionate and would be cuddled all day long if you had the time. She has probably seen no love or affection in her life and now, having experienced it from the PAWS people, she craves more.
She is a powerful girl; very solid and strong. Someone with experience of the Malinois breed, or someone willing to learn how best to occupy and educate them, would be the ideal person for Angela. Adopt Angela and you will have a loving, loyal companion. She would need a very secure garden with fairly high fences because she has developed a tendency to climb.
If you would like to adopt ANGELA or find out more about her, please send PAWS a private message (please include your email address in the message), contact colleenatpaws@outlook.com or or come to the shelter to see her.
