Bruna
Description
Name: BRUNA
M/F: Female
DoB: October 2017
Adult size: Large
Admitted to PAWS: October 2018
BRUNA is a one of our 'special' dogs who was freed from terrible conditions. We don’t know exactly what her previous life was like but we hazard a guess that it was not good because she is afraid of people. Slowly, slowly, this is improving. It takes time though. Patience is the key with Bruna; she has to do things at her own pace. Once she trusts someone then everything is good.
It is impossible to say how confident Bruna will ever be, but she definitely has the ability to build relationships with people – something that didn’t seem possible when she first arrived with us. (Having said this, another dog who showed similar traits was re-homed and became a totally changed dog within a few days. It seems that sometimes what these dogs need is not the shelter environment but that of a real home in which they feel comfortable and relaxed).
Bruna needs people with lots of patience who will not be put off by setbacks. Someone who will have confidence in themselves to deal with her and thus pass that confidence to Bruna. She is a stunning looking girl but shows her fear in her eyes. We need to find someone who can replace that look with one of trust and happiness.
If you would like to adopt Bruna or would like more information then please send us a private message, email colleenatpaws@outlook.com, or come to the shelter to see her.
